Sebastian Gröndal has traveled all around the world, experiencing many different types of restaurant operations in the big cities of Canada to New Zealand. But for him, nothing beats a unique rural experience with local produce and a warm personal welcome.

The restaurant began with Britta’s Pensionat, a unique guesthouse in the quaint
village of Harads in Northern Sweden.

With a population of just 600 people and some of the best local produce our beautiful country has to offer, it was clear that a restaurant was needed to compliment and encapsulate the mystical experience offered in this part of the world.

Chef Sebastian was the icing on the cake; his passion for food and local produce made the perfect fit for our warm and homely environment. We now have the highest quality catering to match the guest service. His ability to create a variety of unique dishes from the local produce made it the perfect fit for us.

The Food

Waking up to the smell of freshly home baked bread first thing in the morning is just the beginning of your natural and local menu experience. Move on to a nutritious main of delicate reindeer meat or wild moose, and finish off with an incomparable ice-cold lemon sorbet topped with freshly picked berries from the forest. Taste the season’s flavors and find delight in a range of dining activities. Choose a candle lit dinner under the stars on a frozen lake, or a three-course dinner 10 meters high up in a tree!
